Through education and raising awareness we can provide relief, inspire passion and offer hope.
Maya Angelou said, “When you know better, you do better,” and this is my dream: that someday the stigmas surrounding Alzheimer’s and dementia will be gone and instead of being looked at through the lens of disability, we will see those living with dementia in a new light of self-awareness. By raising public awareness and educating care partners we an accomplish this goal together, step by step and person by person.
I partner with healthcare companies and community organizations to design, develop and implement services that positively impact daily life for those living with dementia and meet the unique challenges we all face with this disease. I am a Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer through the NCCDP, a professional organization formed to promote standards of excellence in dementia and Alzheimer's disease education. I offer their curriculum “Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Seminar” allowing attendees to apply for Certified Dementia Practitioner designation, a well-respected professional certification in the healthcare field. I offer a variety of seminars, workshops, and presentations designed to fit your specific needs and requests on the following topics:
